Chiropractic advocacy: Do chiropractors have a qualified responsibility to assist those less fortunate-
(NaturalNews) With almost 50 million uninsured Americans in today’s world and roughly three million living below the poverty level, healthcare providers have an obligation and duty to help patients of all ages, economical status levels, with and without insurance; but how many providers do- Chiropractors can benefit by reaching out to lower income communities by restructuring fee scales to meet the needs of the majority of Americans living in pain and poverty to get the help they are entitled to.Most minimum wage workers stand for long hours, perform repetitive motions and are under high amounts of stress to increase output. “Low back pain (LBP) continues to be one of the costliest work-related injuries in the United States in terms of disability and treatment costs” (Cifuentes, 2011). Oftentimes, workers do not have sick pay and do not have time to recuperate or seek proper medical attention for their injuries, typically musculoskeletal in nature, nor do they have the financial means to seek out such care. Retail, mechanic/automotive, hair/nail stylist, food, factory, airline, lawn maintenance and hospitality employees all work long hours with low wages, with minimal or no benefits to cover typical medical costs or alternative healthcare options.About 60 percent of the people who seek chiropractic care are for back and neck pain conditions. The current “typical” chiropractic patient is a white, educated middle-aged individual. An “ideal” chiropractic patient is a white, middle-aged, educated, financially stable female, both of which disregard the majority of the working class population that is in need of chiropractic services. Universal healthcare, also known as Obamacare, which will be taking effect in 2014, can help to offer chiropractic care to hardworking, yet less fortunate individuals in need of natural, non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical care options.
Along with the working force, children can also benefit from regular chiropractic adjustments. Poor postural habits, usually developed as a child, can lead to long-term musculoskeletal conditions. If parents have limited access to chiropractic care, chances are, so do their children.
Although the new healthcare act will help millions more people access healthcare they could not previously obtain financially, why has it taken this long to allow medical care to lower income individuals- Chiropractic care typically costs less and is more effective than taking prescription medications, surgery and emergency room visits. The latest chiropractic research proves that it can reduce musculoskeletal symptoms, yet millions do not have access to this natural pain relief option. “Patients suffering nonspecific work-related LBP who received health services mostly or only from a chiropractor had a lower risk of recurrent disability than the risk of any other provider type. Chiropractor services generally cost less than services from other providers” (Cifuentes, 2011).Healthcare companies, like Planned Parenthood, offer a sliding scale payment system to allow patients of all financial statuses to receive the care they need and deserve. With the low overhead cost of running a chiropractic office, there is no reason why chiropractors cannot offer similar options. Workers that do receive chiropractic care for common injuries can help to eliminate pain, minimize the chronicity of their problem and long-term disability, improve work performance, lead to less sick days away from the job, boost their immunity and have an improved quality of life! Workers that have their pain managed by chiropractic care are overall much healthier and have an increased work performance, which benefits both worker and employer.

IRS demanded Facebook posts, book titles, names of donors during politically-motivated targeting of non-profits
(NaturalNews) The scandal surrounding the Internal Revenue Service’s illicit, politically-motivated scrutiny of conservative, patriot, Tea Party and pro-Israel groups continues to expand daily, as more information is learned about its depth, breadth and scope.
In addition to delaying tax-exempt status for these organizations, the IRS also demanded donor rolls and printouts of Facebook posts to determine who was contributing to the organizations and what sort of information they were putting out in regards to the current administration, and what books people were reading, according to a Politico review of documents from 11 of the targeted groups.
That review “shows the agency wanted to know everything – in some cases, it even seemed curious what members were thinking,” the website reported. “The review included interviews with groups or their representatives from Hawaii, New Mexico, Ohio, Texas and elsewhere.”
Some tea party groups even worried they’d be punished for followers’ Facebook comments, Politico reported – a chilling prospect, given the huge First Amendment implications of any such shenanigans.
In a long-awaited Treasury Department inspector general report, investigators said the IRS did decide internally that some of those questions being asked of conservative groups were way out of line – especially requests for donor rolls.
Per Politico:
The report shows that top IRS officials put a stop to some of the questions in early 2012, including the ones that asked tea party groups who their donors were, what issues were important to them and whether their top officers ever planned to run for office. And they told the investigators they planned to destroy the donor lists that had already been sent in.
However, interviews with members of the targeted groups show a much larger – and sinister – portrait, and one that extends far beyond the rudimentary language in the IG report. In that regard, investigators say only that the IRS “requested irrelevant (unnecessary) information because of a lack of managerial review, at all levels, of questions before they were sent to organizations seeking tax-exempt status.”
Toby Walker, president of the Waco Tea Party, told the website, “They were asking for a U-Haul truck’s worth of information.”
So intrusive and ridiculous the demand for information that some groups seeking tax-exempt status simply gave up in frustration.
The IG report noted that many of the groups were asked to provide resumes of their top officers as well as interview descriptions with media outlets. One organization was asked by the agency to provide “minutes of all board meetings since your creation.”
Investigators said some IRS letters to groups sought copies of their web pages, social media postings and blog posts. Each letter also carried an ominous warning about “penalties of perjury,” which seriously intimidated the targeted groups who were also being asked about “future activities, like future donations or endorsements,” said Politico:
In one instance, the American Patriots Against Government Excess was asked to provide summaries or copies of all material passed out at meetings. The group had been reading The 5000 Year Leap by Cleon Skousen and the U.S. Constitution.
Marion Bower, president of that organization, sent a copy of both of them to the IRS. “I don’t have time to write a book report for them,” she told the website.
As usual, there are apologists for this kind of behavior. Not surprisingly, some of them are lawyers.
University of California-Irvine law professor and election law expert Rick Hasen told Politico that it was the tax agency’s job to make sure groups applying for tax-exempt status were not primarily involved in campaign activities: “So it has taken a murky rule and tried to resolve disputes about status in some cases using a very fact-intensive and intrusive inquiry.”
Continuing, he said, “It would be far better for the IRS – or even better, Congress – to have a bright line rule about who has to disclose what and keep the IRS out of this line of inquiry. For example, make every group regardless of tax status disclose major donors funding election ads to the FEC. That’s it. Then there would be no reason for political groups to take the (c)(4) status and the pressure would be off the IRS.”
But that doesn’t explain why only groups of a particular political persuasion were targeted – which makes the IRS actions look very much like some of the agency’s personnel were purposefully twisting the rules to the benefit of the party of President Obama.
This scandal continues to unfold, and we’ll be on top of it.

Two delicious and healthy blackstrap molasses recipes
(NaturalNews) Blackstrap molasses has always been a great choice for home baking. Aside from having a delicious and sweet taste, blackstrap is also an effective, and inexpensive, health supplement. Rich in calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, and other trace minerals, as well as a great way to ease sugar cravings without resorting to refined sugar, blackstrap is, in many ways, a superfood. So, it is understandable that many people wish to incorporate it into their cooking.
Below are two recipes that use blackstrap molasses as a central ingredient. There are other molasses-based recipes out there as well, but these two are arguably the best ones.
If you’re new to cooking with blackstrap, then you can’t go wrong with cookies. Aside from being easy to make, which makes them ideal for people new to molasses, the natural sweetness of the molasses ensures that this dessert is especially tasty and perfect for treating guests.
This recipe makes twenty-four three-inch cookies. It requires the following ingredients:
• 1 tablespoon of shortening
• 1 stick of melted margarine
• 1 cup of sugar (or ideally a healthy sugar substitute like xylitol)
• 0.5 cup of organic and sunsulfured blackstrap molasses
• 1 organic, free range egg
• 0.5 cup of milk (raw milk is best)
• 2.5 cups of whole wheat flour
• 0.5 teaspoons of ground cloves, ground ginger, and ground cinnamon
• 0.5 teaspoon of salt (ideally Himalayan salt or unrefined sea salt)
• 1.75 teaspoons of baking soda
With these ingredients ready, you can make the cookies by following these instructions:
1.) Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Apply the shortening to 2 cookie sheets and set them aside. Combine the blackstrap, milk, egg, sugar, and margarine together, and beat the mixture until it is well-mixed.
2.) Sift the ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, flour, and salt together. Add this mixture to the blackstrap mixture half a cup at a time, always mixing thoroughly after each subsequent addition.
3.) Use a tablespoon to drop the mixture into the cookies sheets, and bake them for ten minutes. Once the cookies are ready, they should be set aside to cool.
This recipe makes one 8 x 4 inch loaf. It requires the following ingredients:
• 0.5 x cup of organic and unsulfured blackstrap molasses
• 1 x teaspoon of salt
• 1 x teaspoon of baking soda
• 0.5 x cup of cornmeal
•1.75 x cups of yogurt or buttermilk
•2.5 x cups of whole wheat flour
With these ingredients ready, you can make the bread by following these instructions:
1.) Preheat your oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour an 8 x 4 inch bread loaf pan.
2.) Combine the baking soda, cornmeal, salt, and flour into one bowl and mix them well.
3.) Combine the blackstrap molasses and yogurt (or buttermilk) into one bowl and mix them well.
4.) Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until a thick batter is produced. Then, using a tablespoon, drop the batter into the bread loaf pan and place it in the oven. Bake the loaf for between 45 minutes to 1 hour, and then allow it to cool for at least 20 minutes.
5.) The loaf will keep for four days if well-wrapped and stored at room temperature. You can serve it with jam, salted butter, or whatever you prefer.

Gun control advocates now admit: IRS intimidation scandal proves Second Amendment had to stop government tyranny
(NaturalNews) In the face of the outrageous IRS intimidation scandal now sweeping across America, gun control advocates are changing their tune. All of a sudden, the idea that the federal government could engage in tyranny against the People of America is no longer a “conspiracy theory.” It’s historical fact right in your face thanks to all the recent scandals now bursting onto the scene: IRS intimidation, secret targeting of non-profit groups for possible “thought crimes,” the Department of Justice seizing AP phone records and so on.
Just which liberals are changing their minds on all this- Piers Morgan, for starters. The man who once called Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America a “very stupid man” on live national television is suddenly reversing course. Here’s what Morgan now says in the wake of the IRS intimidation scandal:
“I’ve had some of the pro-gun lobbyists on here saying to me, well the reason we need to be armed is because of tyranny from our own government, and I’ve always laughed at them. I’ve always said don’t be so ridiculous. Your government won’t turn itself on you. But actually when you look at this [IRS scandal]… actually this is vaguely tyrannical behavior by the American government. I think what the IRS did is bordering on tyrannical behavior, I think what the Department of Justice has done to the Associated Press is bordering on tyrannical behavior.”
Here’s the video: (until YouTube bans it)
InfoWars.com, by the way, is now publicly challenging Piers Morgan to admit the U.S. government has become “fully tyrannical,” not just “bordering on tyrannical.” It begs the question: If using the IRS as a political weapon to intimidate people over thought crimes, books, Facebook posts and prayers isn’t full-on tyranny, what exactly will it take for Morgan to admit a full tyranny is now upon us- The government knocking on his door-
Going even further than Piers Morgan, “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough also admits gun owners were right all along, saying:
“I have been saying for months now… that I believe in background checks. After Newton, after Chicago, we need background checks. And my argument has been, don’t worry, background checks aren’t going to lead to a national registry. The government’s never going to create a national registry, right- … I don’t have to even complete my sentence, do I- My argument is less persuasive today because of these scandals. Because people say hey, if they do that with the IRS, asking people what books you read, then how can I trust them with information about my Second Amendment rights- This is DEVASTATING! This IRS scandal is devastating all across the board…”
Well yeah, Joe. This is what we’ve been warning you about all along, you see-
See the video here:
To be a progressive / liberal person, you have to hold to the belief (i.e. have “faith”) that governments can never go rogue. Governments can never become tyrannies. Governments are always and forever trustworthy and compassionate.
Every progressive government policy logically follows from those core beliefs: government should regulate what people eat, control how businesses run themselves, monopolize national health care, grant amnesty to undocumented illegal immigrants, take all the guns away from the citizens and concentrate power into its own hands. This is all justified because you can trust the government, right- … RIGHT-
Enter exhibit A: The IRS intimidation scandal. The targeting of political enemies. Thought crimes. The IRS demands to know all your Facebook posts, the titles of the books you’ve recently read and even the contents of your PRAYER! The IRS then uses this information to selectively delay only the applications of non-profits that teach the Constitution, or patriotism, or are opposed to Obama. Can you say criminal corruption and total abuse of power- This is anti-American and traitorous!
Enter exhibit B: The Department of Justice, run by the nation’s top criminal Eric Holder, runs a vicious surveillance and secret police campaign against none other than the Associated Press. When the outrageous behavior of the DoJ comes to light, Eric Holder claims, “I know nothing! Nothing!” (Same story for Obama… they knew nothing!)
Exhibit C: The Benghazi narrative pushed by the White House is now obviously a total lie, and this lie strongly influenced the presidential debates and 2012 election. The Benghazi attack was actually a terrorist attack — and the White House knew it! But they covered it up, lied to the public, and even stood down U.S. forces to make sure the ambassador was killed so that he couldn’t spill the beans on the U.S. weapons transfers being made to terror groups in Syria.
What do exhibits A, B and C prove- That you can’t trust the government!
Now the illusion of trustworthy government has been completely shattered. If the IRS would selectively intimidate and threaten Constitutional groups it didn’t like, what else is the government capable of-
All of a sudden those of us who warned everybody about gun confiscation, FEMA camps and false flags don’t seem so outlandish anymore. Now almost everyone realizes the government is capable of ANYTHING. Especially the Obama administration, which respects no laws and no limits to its power. (Drone strikes, secret kill lists, the continued running of secret military prisons, bypassing Congress with executive orders, and so on.)
Now the Second Amendment makes total sense. Why do we even have a Second Amendment- The honest, blatant answer is so that as a last-ditch firewall against a tyrannical takeover, the American people can march on Washington with rifles in hand and shoot all the criminals dead. That is the essence of the Second Amendment — a last-ditch failsafe for liberty. The only real way to keep government in line, after all, is to make sure those who hold office know that if they become outright traitors to America and refuse to abide by the limits of government described in the Constitution, they might be shot dead by citizens who take their country back by force. (I’m not calling for such an action, by the way. I’m only explaining the historical context of the Second Amendment and what it really means.)
When citizens are well armed and have the power to do such a thing, that power should never actually be needed because the government fears the people and thus stays within the limits of power. But when the people are disarmed, the government fears nothing and so expands out of control, functioning as a rogue, tyrannical cabal of mobsters and criminals. Read your history books if you don’t believe me. This is the repeated story of government’s rise and fall throughout history.
Ultimately, this is why the Obama administration wants to take your guns away: Not to make the children safer but to make the citizens defenseless against government tyranny. And yes, that tyranny exists right now. The debate is over. The gun grabbers lost and the Second Amendment won.
Now, the Obama administration is permanently discredited, and the strength of the Second Amendment movement is stronger than ever. Just as it should be.
So I want to thank Piers Morgan, Joe Scarborough and all the other gun control advocates who are now rethinking the logic of their positions and concluding the government can’t be trusted after all. And if the government can’t be trusted, then it only follows that the citizens are the final defense against government tyranny. Furthermore, that role of citizen defense is only viable if the citizens are well-armed with rifles and hi-capacity magazines.
The more the government knows there are millions of law-abiding citizens who are armed and trained in rifle skills, the less that government is likely to overstep its limited powers and try to concentrate power in its own hands.

Society has flipped the wrong way up: Toothpaste, Nazis and normalcy long lost
(NaturalNews) Earlier in the week, a tipster brought to my attention that an article I wrote reviewing a natural toothpaste product had been ripped off and pasted on some sort of Nazi website (without my permission or knowledge, of course).
“I guess Nazis want healthy teeth, too!” they told me.
This was all happening while Angelina Jolie was breaking the news about the surgical removal of her breasts even though she has no breast cancer. The mere presence of the BRCA1 gene in her body, she explained, caused her to cut off her body parts as a bizarre form of disease “prevention.”
My how the world has changed, hasn’t it- Because I remember a time when Nazis were cutting off body parts and women wanted healthy teeth.
I remember a time when journalism meant asking questions instead of following orders.
I remember a time when whistleblowers who exposed corruption were celebrated rather than arrested.
I remember a time when police assisted people in wheelchairs instead of tasing them.
I remember a time when non-profits that taught the Constitution were celebrated by the community rather than investigated by the IRS.
I remember a time when someone having “friends” meant real people in the real world, not virtual people on Facebook.
I remember a time when food was grown by farmers using seeds, not “mass produced” by “agri-giants” using GMOs.
I remember a time when heroes were men who charged enemy machine gun nests on remote Pacific islands and took out enemy soldiers with bayonets. Now “heroes” are just overpaid professional sports players who announce they’re gay.
I remember a time when the water that came out of your tap wasn’t poisoned with fluoride, laced with pharmaceuticals or contaminated with explosive gasses from fracking.
I remember a time when the word “terrorist” meant someone who hated America, not someone who loves the Constitution.
I remember a time when government food stamps were handed out to Americans, not illegal immigrants.
Maybe I’m just old fashioned, but I remember a time when most people actually believed in individual liberty and responsibility, not collectivist government “taking care of them.”
Society has flipped and is upside down. Maybe it’s time we flipped it right side up!

Obama coming after your 401(k) – Government to restrict your retirement savings
(NaturalNews) Thank goodness for President Barack Obama, for without his wisdom and foresight none of us would know how to live our lives, and in particular, how much money we need to save for our own retirement.
Consider the president’s proposal for the government to come after a portion of your retirement by limiting the amount of money you can put into your 401(k). If Obama has his way, the government will begin to penalize you (as in tax you) if you save more than $3 million for your own retirement.
Is it any wonder why his critics call him a socialist-
Now, hold on a moment. Before you start shouting, “Holy smokes, man, that’s a lot of money! Why shouldn’t Americans have to pay taxes on 401K programs above that amount-”
There are plenty of reasons why, up to and including the fact that the government is a lousy financial planner (look at how our “leaders” have raided Social Security, which now teeters on bankruptcy).
First of all, you can’t let Obama and his class-warfare claptrap define the issue. Understand that from the get-go, the premise of his argument is completely bogus because it assumes a) the government has an inherent right to your retirement savings; and b) that Obama has a right to set the amount of retirement savings you are allowed to have before he penalizes you.
Who is he – or anyone else – to put a limit on what you can earn and save, without having a portion of it stolen from you by government-
It is a bass-ackwards economic principle. Per Forbes, a media outlet that knows a thing or two about finances, personal and otherwise:
President Obama’s understanding of financial planning is fundamentally flawed. In his latest budget, the chief executive proposed a cap on tax-preferred retirement accounts. An individual’s total balance could not accumulate over $3 million. This total would include the sum balances of a traditional IRA, Roth IRA, 401(k) and defined contribution plans.
Obama justified his budget by saying, “Tax-preferred savings vehicles are intended to help middle class families save for retirement. But under current rules, some wealthy individuals are able to accumulate many millions of dollars in these accounts, substantially more than is needed to fund reasonable levels of retirement saving.”
Obama further states that $3 million is “an amount sufficient to finance an annuity of not more than $205,000 per year in retirement.”
So not only does Obama want to penalize you for being successful – a truly anti-American proposition – but he wants to limit the amount of money you live on in retirement.
There’s more. The heart of Obama’s budget plan, and this particular “proposal” in particular, is to raise more taxes, period. The man and his party are already responsible for raising trillions of dollars in new taxes via the expiration of the 2 percent payroll tax Jan. 1 and the horde of new taxes and “fees” that Obamacare will raise (and is raising).
Moreover, according to Forbes, the president’s figures aren’t even accurate: “A $3 million account might be able to purchase a fixed annuity of $205,000 at age 65. But the quotes we received were all below that.”
Whether you believe the government has a “revenue problem not a spending problem,” understand that this proposal is exactly the wrong way to fix it. And know this: Your money may be growing tax-free while in your retirement accounts, but it is taxed as you withdraw it. If you don’t withdraw it all before you die, don’t worry – the government’s death tax will grab a huge portion of it. So either way, Uncle Sam is getting his “fair share” – and then some.
One more thing. Forbes points out that while Obama is raiding your retirement accounts, “workers are more likely to have fat compensation packages of government-defined benefit plans and pensions. These would not be limited in any way by his proposal. To punish private sector defined contribution plans and reward public sector defined benefit plans is egregiously self-serving.”
To Barack Obama, the government can never tax enough, spend enough, and deprive you of your financial liberty enough. Nothing is out of bounds. All he is proposing is more taxing and spending, and this “strategy” would be unacceptable no matter who is president.
Nothing defines liberty as much as economic freedom. It is a fundamental American principle. When Americans begin to be punished for essentially saving too much money for retirement, it is well past time to reform our tax code.
One last thing. Obama will earning in excess of $350,000 annually in retirement, or the draw from an $8 million retirement account. Per Forbes, “Obama’s own government pension is more than sufficient by his own standard.”
Whatever you think of this proposal, you can add hypocrisy to it.

Eric Holder: idiot zen master
(NaturalNews) In his recent testimony before Congress, US Attorney General Eric Holder, the so-called highest law-enforcement officer in the land, responded to questions about the AP scandal.
Holder’s Justice Dept. had secretly subpoenaed and seized the phone records of Associated Press reporters.
Holder stated he didn’t know anything about anything, because he had recused himself from the issue and recused himself from the new internal DOJ investigation of the matter.
What-
Huh-
His own agency, the US Dept. of Justice, had spied secretly on reporters. But he, Holder, the head of that agency, decided to remain entirely ignorant about the whole fiasco, once he discovered the vague outline of what was going on.
This is like the manager of a car agency learning that 50 new cars in his lot have packets of heroin in their glove compartments, and immediately withdrawing to Bermuda for a fishing vacation.
The Congressional committee then asked Holder about the new internal DOJ investigation of itself vis-a-vis the AP scandal. Holder said he wasn’t absolutely sure about that either, because, again, he had recused himself.
This is like that car-agency manager sitting in his boat in Bermuda and putting a blindfold over his eyes and plugs in his ears.
Why did Holder recuse himself- Unasked, unanswered. That in itself is staggering.
Possibly, he recused himself because he might be a target of the ensuing investigation into the scandal. In other words, he needed to avoid the appearance of being in charge of his own agency, from which position he could, theoretically, let himself off the hook-!-!
In that case, his power is decimated. He’s a sitting duck. He’s nobody.
Some unit of the Justice Department is tasked with figuring out how and why the DOJ spied on reporters—and who is to say that unit is automatically free from political influence and corruption- Who is to say that unit will do an honest job and indict employees of the DOJ-
In other words, it’s a no-win situation. Doesn’t matter who, at the Dept. of Justice, does or doesn’t recuse himself. Holder could have kept his head in the game and pushed the internal investigation himself. But he didn’t.
He’s the village idiot. He doesn’t know anything about anything.
The press doesn’t gang up and attack him hard.
“Listen, Mr. Holder. We’re not buying your recusal or your ignorance. You’re the man in charge. You’re the boss. If you don’t know what’s going on, what good are you-”
“Mr. Holder, when exactly did you okay the secret seizing of AP reporters’ phone records- We know you did. When was it-”
“What- You never did okay the spying and seizing, Mr. Holder- You mean you, the boss, didn’t know what was happening on your watch- Your people feel no need to get your approval for a major op like this-”
“We’re camping out on your doorstep until we get some real answers.”
NONE of this has happened. The press has whined and complained, and that’s about it.
“I don’t know who put all those packets of heroin in the new cars, and I don’t want to know. Maybe somebody thinks I OKed it, and they’ll investigate me. So it’s my duty to remain as ignorant as I can about the whole thing, to preserve neutrality and integrity…”
Holder is saying that any knowledge he might have, but doesn’t, about the original plan to spy on reporters, about the actual spying, about the aftermath of the spying, and about the new internal investigation into the spying…any knowledge on these subjects could make him INFORMED, and therefore, better able to lie now to investigators, if he were so disposed, which of course he isn’t.
Right- Got it- Makes perfect sense, doesn’t it- Irrefutable logic. No problem. Let’s all take a nap.
Imagine if this happened. A few months after 9/11, the director of the CIA appears before 9/11 Commission and states the following:
“Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve intentionally kept myself entirely ignorant about what the Agency knew leading up to 9/11, what the Agency found out on the day of 9/11, and what the Agency has learned since 9/11. I exist in a pristine state about all these matters, because if you investigate me for malfeasance, I want to be able to say, unequivocally, that I haven’t been tainted by actual knowledge, which I could then twist to my own advantage. And I haven’t covered myself with lies, because I have no idea what the truth is. I trust you understand this. I trust you understand the sacrifice I’ve made in order to help you arrive at the truth. It has not been easy watching sports 24/7 and keeping myself from the news of the day. I have suffered. But I do it because I’m a patriot. You’re welcome.”
Holder actually believes we’re buying his act-
Well, I hate to say this, but he does. He thinks he can get over. He thinks he can slither through and around and over the press.
And he’s probably right, judging by what the press has and hasn’t done so far.
The man is a towering liar and fabricator. He’s all lies all the way up and down.
Can’t the committee before whom he’s testifying at least fall down laughing, because they’re seeing a man like them working his act-
“Wow, Eric, I thought I’d been witness to some major bullshit in my time, but you’re in another league. I’ve told some tall tales, but this, this pose of see no evil, it’s championship material. Really. You’ve taken me to school. I’m awed. Where do I sign up- I need what you’ve got. I really do. You’re pushing Bill Clinton for the heavyweight belt.”
Holder: “I can’t comment on that comment or anything else. I’m merely saying I have no knowledge or understanding of anything, and I’ve achieved this state of mind on purpose. Therefore, I’m clean. I’m a machine carefully built to specs of ignorance, a machine with no function. In that sense, I’m perfect.”
We may be seeing the greatest bureaucratic ploy in the history of the democracy.
Imagine a million bureaucrats like him. Each one defers to the other, who in turn expresses the same across-the-board Zero. At the end of it, the apparatus spits out a blank piece of paper and everybody goes home.
Yes, government is wonderful. It’s cosmically zen. It’s what we all want.
Life without life.
To top it off, Obama, at his press conference yesterday, said he has full confidence in Holder. Meaning: Obama is sure Holder will remain a blank slate.
“I have full confidence that the man who is running the Department of Justice isn’t running it. He’s staring at the wall. That’s what I want him to do.”
Recusal, the actual version, works like this. A lawyer who once represented a client suing a chemical company for damage is now an appeals judge. Another case involving the same company comes up for review. The judge backs out. He says, “I once went up against the company in court, so I won’t get involved now.”
What Holder is doing is from another planet. He’s found a way to take the Fifth without admitting he has anything to incriminate himself about.
“Mr. Jones, were you at the restaurant on the night of the murder-”
“I recuse myself from answering that question.”
“What-”
“I don’t want to give the impression that I have any knowledge about the murder.”
“But you’re on trial for the murder, sir.”
“Yes, and that in itself is prejudicial. Do you see- Aspersions about my character and actions have been cast. I wish to remove myself from the possibility of such accusations.”
“You can’t. That’s why you’re here. We suspect you of committing murder.”
“I recuse myself.”
“Are you invoking your Fifth Amendment rights-”
“Absolutely not. That would imply I have some knowledge about the crime. I reject that characterization.”
“You Honor, the witness is unresponsive. Please instruct him to answer my original question.”
“As a judge, I find the defendant’s posture of recusal interesting. I think we’ll let him go with a warning and a small fine. Three hours of community service in the White House, for which he’ll earn seven thousand dollars an hour. Court is adjourned.”
